Cape Fear SORBA utilizes Meetup.com as a way for our members to connect for group rides, events, and other social activities. The site allows users to create events and invite all members of that particular meetup group to participate. In addition, the club can also use it as a tool to estimate turnouts at club events like races, meetings, and social activities. Its free for anyone to join (and if you have a facebook account its very easy to sign up!). Cape Fear SORBA pays for this service so all local mountain bikers can get together and mingle.
